I wish I could tuck it inside....

That's my new drawer. I purchased it earlier on Saturday but they only managed to send it today.

It seems familiar. I swear I've seen it somewhere (maybe because its a standard design anyway).

Anyway...the post isnt that much about the drawer..

Its about something else that can be associated with it. I hate to recall the memory, but I know it will haunted me as long as this drawer stay here. But, to dump it seems pretty excessive (though it did crossed my mind)

Why does it have to happen at that particular time? Moreover, why does it have to happen at all??

I wish, like other things that I managed to tuck neatly into these drawers, I would manage to tuck in this unfortunate even too..

p/s : I wish I could brag a little (for the sake of justifying my own shopaholicness) about this new semi-luxury item of mine, but it just seems to0 depressing

THE KITE RUNNER

I think I had a post before about this movie ( and books). I first read the book which I borrowed from Husna. I had to finish it in a day ( it's so moving) that I had to read the last chapter in the darkness with only my bedside lamp turned on ( so that I wont disturb my roomate).

The movie (adapted from the novel) had been out few months back, but just yesterday I got the chance to watch it. And, just like the book, it's overwhelming.

One of the beloved story of our times...

Here's some quotes that I love (and keep playing in my head):

" For you, a thousand times over"

"There's a way to be good again"

For those living in my vicinity, you can get the movie from me. But I'd recommend you to read the book as well. Like any other adaptation, the reading is so much more fulfilling.

And here's the trailer for the movie :

And to you my friend:

I want you to know that someway somehow, in a distinct little part of it, the movie had my story in it. And yes, for you:

"A thousand times over"

HOW YOUR CALL SAVES A LIFE..

Its stependous. The coffee aroma, blended with the lavender fragrance intertwined into an enhancting dance that made its way into his nose.

Only that, he wonders whether such magical smell could still persist in the afterlife, or whether if it exist at all - the aroma- he means- of course.

Soon, he knew the aroma will be displaced. Once a top chemistry student, he certained that mixing these 2 detergents would release a toxic combustion. One that can be lethatl enough once it dissipate into the bloodstream.

And he twisted open the bottle cap. The liquid swirl together into the plunged sink, releasing a hissing sound, and the mist oozed upwards into a twirling emptiness.

As he took a deep breath, wishing a warm and easy farewel, moments from his life flash in front of his eyes. Yet, in its entire peculiarity, it stops. Exactly at the spot where the mind crawls into a scene, a person, a subject - you.

Second inhalation. The tapwater flows continously, as it rhymes with every slowing of his heart beat. He grasp his hand, catching for something that he himself is uncertain of.

Just before the windpipe close, cutting the essential airflow into the lungs, a wonder happened.

You called.

Glimpsing at the caller ID on his mobile, he saw your name. Hand shaking, he pressed the answer button, and stop breathing.

"Hello" you said, casually

"Hi". he replied. And, as if controlled by a distant wisdom, he unplunged the sink, and soon, the tapwater carried away the lethal fluid. Away, out of his life.

"How you doin'?, I thought we could hit a movie or somethin'..u ok there bud? U seems irregularly irregular, thee hehe " you said

"I AM fine. I wasnt earlier, but I AM now..I really do. Thanks for calling"

And he sunk onto the bathroom floor, grasping the phone, knowing at the other end, there's YOU.

A simple phone call might save a life.
Spare a moment.
Reach out to others.
